The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations for business and personal tax returns, as well as significant experience in preparing and filing business and personal tax returns.

What You Will Do

  • Help our customers complete their taxes using Intuit TurboTax products with sound professional judgment, in an excellent and timely manner.
  • Provide tax advice, full service return preparation, tax calculations, and manage product/software inquiries.
  • Maintain sensitive customer, confidential and/or proprietary information in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner.
  • Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to seek out and deliver the right answer in everyday language.
  • Interact with customers virtually using our video communications software.
  • Assist TurboTax Business customers with: tax advice; full service business return preparation and signature; product/software inquiries; tax calculations; filing tax extensions.
  • Create high quality customer interactions and experiences that instill confidence using deep customer empathy and expertise in business tax preparation and books-to-tax accounting entries.
  • Document customer interactions and work toward meeting company key performance metrics and Big Bet Goals.
  • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations as needed.

What You Need

  • Strong business tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws evidenced by 3+ years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients per season, using commercial tax software.
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year in a tax practice or retail setting (strongly preferred).
  • Must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
  • Bookkeeping experience with books-to-tax preparation is strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers strongly preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds; active PTIN; working knowledge of Circular 230.
  • Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools professionally and confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) internet connection that meets Intuit Security criteria.
  • Must reside in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay-for-performance approach. The expected base pay range varies by location:

  • Bay Area California: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Southern California: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Colorado: $29.60 - $34.10
  • Hawaii: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Illinois: $29.60 - $34.10
  • Maryland: $29.60 - $34.10
  • Massachusetts: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Minnesota: $26.60 - $33.80
  • New Jersey: $31.10 - $35.50
  • New York: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Ohio: $26.60 - $33.80
  • Vermont: $29.60 - $34.10
  • Washington: $31.10 - $35.50
  • Washington DC: $29.60 - $34.10

This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with applicable plans and programs. Pay is based on factors such as job knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Intuit conducts regular pay equity analyses.
