HCA Healthcare is a leading provider of healthcare services, and they are seeking a Senior EHR Training Developer to join their Ambulatory EHR Education team. The role involves developing and implementing training standards for Electronic Health Record programs, while also providing oversight and mentorship to EHR Analysts and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance training initiatives across the enterprise.


Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates executive presence to act as Operations Manager in their absence
  • Mentors and provides oversite to EHR Analyst on tasks as assigned per project
  • Developing/executing timelines and deliverables, as well as managing project resources for education initiatives enterprise wide
  • Develop and deploy communication to AEHR, ITG support teams, division leadership and product teams across the enterprise regarding EHR enhancements and workflow changes
  • Consults with cross-functional teams to develop, deploy and implement enterprise training during conversions, updates, new functionality and upgrades for eClinicalWorks, Experity, Epic, Cerner, and Meditech
  • In depth knowledge of EHRs including eClinicalWorks, Experity, Epic, Cerner, and Meditech to provide educational instruction on clinical & non-clinical workflows and best practice
  • Set the standard for enterprise virtual implementation training requirements and evaluation during clinic adds, provider adds and conversions
  • Develops and implements enterprise training initiatives for across ECW, Meditech, Experity, Cerner and Epic. Including: interactive course, videos, live training session and all associated logistics and documentation
  • Partner with AEHR, Payor Initiatives and ITG to develop, deploy and maintain the enterprise job aids and user guides for ECW, Meditech, Experity, Cerner and Epic
  • Partners with ITG, Clinical Application, and Solutions teams to identify critical issues, areas of improvement, and workflows applications when needed during enterprise education projects such as PSG standard EHRs training environments
  • Develops, deploys and implements accountability measures including reporting for meeting training standards and requirements to ensure the success of providers and clinic staff
  • Present regularly to senior division and corporate leadership on upcoming training initiatives and metrics
  • Thorough understanding of all roles in the clinical practice and their impact on documentation to develop, deploy and implement training standards
  • Stays abreast of current training and development tools, methodologies and practices; incorporates into PSG programs where appropriate
  • Develops, deploys and implements detailed, role specific interactive distance learning courses to providers, clinical staff, non-clinical staff, AEHR and ITG support teams
  • Stays abreast of system changes and updates as well as organizational policies, procedures, and workflows related to EHR implementations
  • Adheres to all HCA Healthcare and PSG policies, procedures and practices

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years in instructional design, curriculum development and training delivery or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • 3+ years EHR training
  • 2+ years with implementation of an electronic health record in a hospital or outpatient setting
  • 3+ years designing/ delivering training and support via virtual technology
  • 3+ years creating and maintaining technical training documents and operating guides
  • 2+ years of virtual education software such as Articulate or Camtasia
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills Camtasia, Articulate, or like software knowledge
  • Facilitating non EHR software training, such as communication/presenting skills/standard processes
  • Strong creativity skills to design curriculum as needed and develop content that is effective for the learner, regardless of delivery modality
  • Ability to present to executive leadership with elevated executive presence
  • Ability to assess adult learning and development
  • Active listening and critical thinking skills to be able to communicate with providers, clinical staff and leadership
  • Training & Development certification preferred
  • Ntrinsx Certification a plus
