FREELANCE OPPORTUNITIES AT ROSS VIDEOIn addition to our full time roles, we rely on talented external Freelancers to supplement our team. The Freelance Demonstration Artist and Training Specialist is responsible for performing training of Ross products, solutions, and integration at client locations in the EMEA Region. The position requires above average knowledge on Ross XPression, Graphics, and control room workflow. This front-line individual is responsible for managing customer expectations, completing required documentation, providing end user operational training, and ensuring integrity of the training experience. This key individual works closely with our Sales and Demonstration Artist Team to ensure delivery of the Ross Superior Customer Experience.

What the job is all about:

Demonstrations

  • Perform on-site, off-site, online/remote customer demonstrations.
  • Assist the XPression team with content creation, organisation, and technical execution of major trade shows throughout the year.
  • Is responsible for the operational and technical integrity of both the demo and training experience and offers effective solutions for areas of improvement in house and online.
  • Set up demo equipment, assist with set-up and prepare/test gear prior to demos.
  • Advise the Sales and Product Management (PM) groups regarding current industry trends and customer feedback.
  • Maintain above average knowledge base and skill set in the functionality and demonstration of all system features for XPression.
  • Develop demonstration techniques, methods, and materials for use by other demo staff.

Training

  • Perform on-site, off-site, and online/remote customer training.
  • Maintain training equipment, assist with set-up and prepare/test gear prior to training sessions.
  • Assist in the development of XPression customer training methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Provide feedback to the XPression Product Management on product operation, features and roadmap.
  • Participate in the review process for upcoming software feature lists.
  • Champion customer needs, notably operational features, roll-out and training methods as well as future feature requirements.
  • Actively participate in Ross’ user forums, lead key discussions, and assist XPression users.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in training required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of gallery workflows, production, customer needs and applications.
  • Experience in the selling and marketing process for broadcast equipment.
  • Knowledge of use of Ross Video products and a willingness to learn how to demonstrate and train on these products, notably: XPression and graphics.
  • Organized and very detail oriented.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments.
  • Experience in the selling and marketing process for broadcast equipment is ideal.
  • Passionate about the broadcast industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and observational skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and very detail oriented.
  • Self-starter, quick learner and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Approachable, patient, calm with a desire to help others learn new objectives.
  • Ability to mitigate risk.
  • High initiative and well-developed analytical skills.
  • Must be able to work well within a team, as well as independently.

Other:

  • Possible heaving lifting of moving equipment.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, stooping, cabling, etc.
  • Home based or Customer Site.
  • Travel is required to a customer site, or another Ross office.
  • Possibility of working at tradeshows, including NAB or IBC.
  • A maximum of 75% travel is possible.
  • Must have a valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
